An Interview with our new Account Manager, Rosanna Hynes

rosanna photoTo support our growing list of clients, we’ve recently expanded our team with a new account manager. Rosanna brings a wealth of marketing experience to CME, ensuring that client campaigns are managed as effectively and efficiently as possible.

Here she reveals more about her career, skills and role at CME:

What’s been your career to date?

I’ve wanted to be in marketing since I was a student when I studied English Language with Media Studies at Liverpool Hope University. I was chosen to be the editor of the student newspaper and while I was still a student, got a job in the marketing department helping to promote the university including writing brochures and introducing its social channels.

After graduating, I worked in the marketing team for a publishing company for three years and then at a not-for-profit organisation called Open Awards, which provides qualifications across a range of sectors. I ran the marketing department including social media, leaflets, brochures, events and email marketing.

What attracted you to CME?

I wanted to broaden my experience and work in an agency environment with a strong track record. CME offered the chance to work for a small but growing team with an impressive number of clients. The role has given me the variety of work I was looking for and the opportunity to use my skills as well as learn new ones.

What are your main roles and responsibilities at CME?

As the first point of contact for clients, I respond to any queries and ensure that all marketing actions are moved forward, tested and measured to ensure that our clients get the best results. I also help to co-ordinate our creative, PR and copywriting experts to ensure that these campaigns are delivered as effectively as possible, using my own experience and skills to support each one and maximise outcomes.

What’s been your career highlight so far?

At CME, it has to be our success at the Construction Marketing Awards. Winning a top award and being highly commended for another, was really rewarding. It’s great to be part of a winning team.

What do like doing when you’re not working?

A year ago, my new year’s resolution was to get a hobby. I chose baking and I’m pleased to say I’ve kept it going. In my spare time, I regularly bake cakes for birthdays and even weddings – and have become a proud member of the Wirral Sugarcraft Guild.
